David W. Ebers, Owner, Creative Force, Majordomo

David has been the hands-on creative force behind the renovation of his own homes and those of friends for over 20 years. His creativity was evident early on and it became clear this was a passion.  He would continue his “corporate” sales & marketing career for the next 15 years, starting in The Bay Area, then on to L.A., back to San Francisco, and then Seattle. With each new city came new homes and with each home, a new set of projects.

After moving to Ojai in 2002, David embarked on the remodel of his 7th home, a Mid-Century Modern, Austen Pierpont-designed property in the Arbolada. With the completion of the second major project, the kitchen renovation, the pull had become too strong. David decided it was finally time to follow his passion.  Domus Ojai was launched in 2005. The passion and creativity he has always applied to his own projects is now translating to his clients’ projects.

David and wife Carolyn enjoy life in Ojai with their two active elementary school age daughters.

Fairview Road, Ojai –
Sourcing of custom hand - carved entry and interior doors, from Bali, as well as other Indonesian interior finishes to create a “Zen” living environment. Facilitate the design and execution of two custom stone fireplace walls and a master bath fire feature.

Creek Road, Oak View –
Pre-construction and ongoing consultation on a new guest house on “Rancho de Granville". Select flooring, tile, roofing, kitchen & bath fixtures, cabinets, appliances, and lighting.

Clubhouse Drive, Saticoy Country Club –
Consultation to freshen and personalize a 1980’s home for the new homeowner. Recommend new flooring, lighting, window  replacement & treatments, and colors.

La Luna Road, Ojai –
Pre-renovation consultation. Develop new kitchen floor plan including cabinet layout, new pass-thru to Dining Room, electrical and lighting plan. Select new appliances countertops, fixtures, flooring, and colors.
